Who we are
Bloom Dock is operated by Kimberly Scarlett, sole trader, Tower Business Park, Kelvedon Road, Tiptree, Colchester, CO5 0LX, United Kingdom. Contact: hello@bloomdock.co.uk. ICO registration: ZC277448.
Information we handle
Account names and email addresses, workspace and business details, customers’ contact information, orders, form responses, uploaded files, subscription and transaction records, support enquiries and technical/security logs.
Why we use information
For Bloom Dock account registration, authentication, paid subscriptions and support needed to provide the contracted service, we generally rely on performance of a contract. For accounting and legally required record-keeping, we rely on legal obligation. For proportionate service security, fraud prevention, troubleshooting and reliability, we generally rely on legitimate interests in keeping Bloom Dock secure and operational, balanced against individuals’ rights. A business using Bloom Dock is generally responsible for choosing its own lawful basis when collecting its customers’ data through its forms.
Business customers’ data
Businesses using Bloom Dock generally act as controllers of the customer details, form answers and order information they upload or collect. Bloom Dock generally acts as their processor for that information and handles it on their documented instructions. Bloom Dock separately controls account administration, its own billing, support and security information. A written data processing agreement applies to this processor relationship; the business and Bloom Dock must accept the applicable data processing agreement before live customer-data processing.
Service providers
Bloom Dock uses Supabase for account authentication, database and file storage; Vercel to host and deliver the website; Stripe for subscription payments and, where enabled, connected customer checkout; and Resend for transactional emails. These providers only need information appropriate to their roles. Independent payment records may be held by Stripe. We review the service providers and technologies used to operate Bloom Dock. We will update this notice when material changes affect how personal information is processed.
Data retention and deletion
We keep account and workspace records while needed to provide the service, and review them when an account closes or a valid deletion request is received. Some records must be kept longer for accounting, dispute resolution, security or other legal requirements. Temporary customer status tokens are removed after expiry or revocation; temporary rate-limit entries are cleaned up after expiry; and completed or failed workspace-deletion receipts are scheduled for removal after 12 months unless subject to a legal hold. The scheduled cleanup runs daily, but deletion of other records and provider backups is governed by their separate processes and retention periods. Stripe may independently retain payment records. For further information or to request deletion, email hello@bloomdock.co.uk.
International transfers
Some of our providers may process or access data outside the UK. Where a transfer is restricted under UK data protection law, we rely on an appropriate lawful mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual safeguards, as applicable. Please contact hello@bloomdock.co.uk to request information about the safeguards relevant to your data.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, people may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability. To make a request, contact hello@bloomdock.co.uk. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Cookies and browser storage
Bloom Dock uses browser storage for signed-in sessions, user preferences and demonstration data. Session technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver a requested service may be used without consent where permitted by law. Optional analytics or advertising technologies, if enabled, will be described and consent requested where required. To find out about storage used in your browser, contact hello@bloomdock.co.uk.
Security and changes
We use authentication, workspace permissions and technical safeguards. No internet-based service offers absolute security. We may update this notice and will notify users of material changes where appropriate.

How information reaches us
Account and billing details usually come directly from the account holder. Customer contact details, order and form answers are provided by the business using Bloom Dock or directly by its customers when they complete that business’s form. Service security and technical records are generated through use of the platform.
Providing necessary account details is required to create and operate an account; without them, we may not be able to provide the service. Businesses determine which information their customer forms require.
Your right to object and other choices
You have a right to object to processing based on legitimate interests in relevant circumstances. Email hello@bloomdock.co.uk. You may also withdraw consent at any time where consent is the applicable lawful basis; this does not affect earlier lawful processing.
If your details were collected by a business using Bloom Dock, contact that business first about its use of your information. We will assist it as required under our agreement.
Automated decisions and marketing
Bloom Dock is not intended to make decisions about individuals based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects. The platform provides operational features, including urgency labels and task scheduling, for business users.
Operational emails may include form submissions, order and payment updates. Where direct marketing is undertaken by a business using the platform, that business is responsible for the applicable permissions and unsubscribe requirements.
